This is a one day training course and is aimed at ordinary members of the community. Participants will learn how to identify signs that someone is at risk and may be considering suicide, how to engage safely and effectively with someone who you believe may be at risk of suicide. It will enhance knowledge of the wide range of support that exists for people at risk of suicide, highlight the importance of supporting someone in making a link to a source of help and demonstrate the importance of maintaining their own positive mental health.

There is no community, no family, and no section of society that has not been touched or affected by suicide which makes suicide prevention is everyone's business. We invite you to come along to the course which will equip you with the skill and know how, to spot the signs of someone contemplating taking their own life, and then being able to intervene and prevent it.
The more people involving themselves in these courses then the more lives can be saved, opening up these suicide prevention lifesaving skills to people in their own community. This literally could make all the difference in saving someone's life."
