Ógra Shinn Féin brave the elements to canvass Monaghan

Ógra Shinn Féin braved the elements and 'torrential' rain to canvass in North Monaghan on Friday 18 May.

A number of Ógra activists from Tyrone, Armagh and Monaghan joined local councillors and the candidate Caoimhín O Caoláin on the 'Battle Bus' to canvass villages and country road's scattered across rural county Monaghan.

Speaking on the youth canvass, Ógra Uladh Organiser Johnny McGibbon said,

"We had a very successful day and engaged many young people on the hundreds of doors we canvassed. As well as the election literature, we also handed out copies of the Ógra Shinn Féin youth manifesto and the election special Glór na nÓg."

"From the great responses at the doors, it is evident that Sinn Féin will again pull a huge vote in Monaghan and Caoimhín O Caoláin will be successfully returned."

"From the many canvasses we have been engaged in across the 26 Counties it is clear that more and more young people are voting for Sinn Féin than any other party. We are a youthful, vibrant party and young people in Dublin, Cork, Sligo and Monaghan are voting for us to deliver change, to deliver a free, egalitarian country."
