“In this the 91st Anniversary of the 1916 Rising, Ógra Shinn Féin proudly remembers all those who bravely gave their lives for Irish freedom.
Ógra Shinn Féin extends Easter greetings to Republican Prisoners and their families. We also pledge our continuing support to the families of Ireland's patriot dead.
Since the formation of Na Fianna Eireann in 1909, young people have been to the fore in the struggle for Irish freedom. Today's republican youth, Ógra Shinn Fein, are just as committed to our republican principles.
We know that the success of our struggle depends on a radical committed youth. If we are to be successful we need more young people coming forward. I want to call on young people to join the struggle for Freedom.
The past year has presented many opportunities for Irish Republicans, it also has presented many difficulties but what has been evident throughout the year is republicanism is stronger and more united.
We have a strategy that delivers. Our strategy has ensured that the Republican struggle is more popular today than it has been at any time since partition.
Today there are huge challenges facing young people, these include having to pay top up fees at college, the extortionate prices of car insurance, housing, drugs and alcohol abuse, suicide prevention, the environment and the high mortality rates on our roads.
We also oppose all forms of imperialism and it’s destructive and divisive by products including sectarianism and racism.
The struggle is in safe hands. Friends and comrades, we stand ready to achieve and build the Republic.
Onwards to the Socialist Republic.
