Cllr Quinn said,
“Belfast is host to Ireland’s largest Pride Parade and is a culmination of a weeklong celebration of equality and diversity. It is also the biggest cross community festival in Ireland and last year, almost 17,000 came out on to the streets in support of the LGBT community.”
“Join with us this Saturday in supporting this colourful and vibrant parade. Stand shoulder to shoulder with all the people who are working to build an inclusive society, one that respects equality and diversity.”

As a God fearing republican, I would much rather have an orange march down my street than a gay one. I am disgusted with sinn fein over your support for same sex marriage. What next is in your agenda? Abortion??
you dont rely understand what a republican is, do you mark? let me gues you want equality for everyone as long as they are just like you and share your belifes?
you are not a republican if you do not support equality for the lgbt community.
and i am assuming that you are not a sf member, if you are.. wel you shouldnt be. the republican movement has no room for bigots.
"The Republic guarantees religious and civil liberty, equal rights and equal opportunities to all its citizens, and declares its resolve to pursue the happiness and prosperity of the whole nation and of all its parts, cherishing all the children of the nation equally"
Mark I am God fearing, devout Catholic and I am Gay. I would suggest you read the New Testament and read what Our Lord has taught. The Bible teaches us that we are all children of God, created in his image and are therefore equal and thus deserve be treated as such. Jesus stood shoulder to shoulder with all those on the margins fo society, the oppressed, the hated. God is love - I suggest you follow that before bringing expressing your warped logic of judgement and hate.
As well as that, if you are a Republican, read the proclamation, our aim is to 'cherish all of the children equally.'
Michael
