Ógra Shinn Féin in Queen's University Belfast had a successful fresher's fayre this past week. Accompanied by senior Sinn Féin activists, including Gerry Kelly MLA, they made a real impact on the Fresher's Fayre.
Signing up around 140 recruits, it was a successful day all round for the Sheena Campbell Cumann.
The Sheena Campbell cumann also received hundreds of signatures for the Disbility petition including politicians from other parties including the DUP's Sammy Wilson.
QUB Ógra activist Michal Harkin commented,
"We definitely got the Republican message out to the student body today. The numbers that signed up have shown the Republican politics is both still alive in students and still relevant to students.
He continued,
"We look forward to our upcoming first meeting and to campaigning for the rest of the year."
