Mairead Farrell Lecture at Queens University Belfast

The 6th March this year marks the 20th Anniversary of the death of Óglach Sean Savage, Óglach Daniel Mc Cann and Queens student, Óglach Mairead Farrell.

They were murdered in broad day light by the British SAS in Gibraltar. They were unarmed and defenceless.

Republican's will be commemorating these three fine republican activists across Ireland in the next week.

At Queen's University Belfast, where Mairead attended, Ógra Shinn Féin have organised a Remembrance Vigil on Wednesday 5th March at 1pm at Front Gates of University and that evening at 6.30pm in Room G9, Lanyon Building, there is a talk on Mairead Farrell, the Student, Freedom Fighter, and Friend.

We would encourage every person with an interest in the events of Gibraltar to come along. It will be an indepth account of what actually happened in Gibraltar. Who exactly Mairead Farrell was and what she stood for!
