Today, 28 February, Armagh Ógra Shinn Féin launched an election broadcast on the internet site ‘YouTube.com’ promoting Sinn Fein’s Cathal Boylan who is standing as a candidate in the Newry/Armagh constituency in the forthcoming assembly elections.
The four minute broadcast, filmed and produced by Ógra, outlines the importance of voting as well as highlighting some of the key Republican concerns including collusion and demilitarisation as well as some social issues including water rates.
Organiser of Ógra Shinn Féin in Armagh Damian White said today,
“We are delighted to be the first political youth wing on this island to have produced an election broadcast and made it available for viewing on the Internet. We anticipate that the broadcast will be viewed by a large number of young and first time voters in the Newry/Armagh constituency, so for that reason we have tailored the production to a young person’s perspective.”
