Ógra Support Residents Demand to 'Make Sectarianism History!'

Ógra activists in Belfast supported residents on the Springfield Road, this past weekend, as they demanded 'Make Sectarianism History!'

Residents, including many young poeple, made their voice clearly heard at the contentious Orange parade in West Belfast.

Orange marchers paraded past the banner stating, 'Make Sectarianism History' as residents opposed the sectarian parade passing homes on the Springfield Road.

Cúige Uladh Ógra Organiser, Johnny McGibbon said,

"Ógra has continuously opposed sectarian marches be they on Garvaghy Road, the Ormeau Bridge, the Springfield Road or elsewhere,"

He continued,

"The residents have the right to live free from sectarianism and intimidation, and we support their right to protest against these parades."
