Ógra Shinn Féin Hold Road Safety Vigil at GPO, Dublin

Ógra Shinn Féin organised a Road Safety vigil in Dublin at the GPO tonight, Monday 3rd September. The vigil was held as part of Ógra’s current national campaign Moilligh Síos (Slow Down).

Barry McColgan, National Organiser of Ógra Shinn Féin speaking from the vigil said,

“There was a great response from the public today, over 1000 leaflets where distributed and thousands of drivers and pedestrians passing by witnessed the activists holding placards.”

“It is important that this is a peer based campaign and while holding the vigil tonight we engaged with hundreds of young people.”

“In the months ahead we intend to take this campaign across Ireland, from vigils like this today, leaflet drops, erecting murals and public meetings, we aim to promote the message of Moilligh Síos (Slow Down)."
