Teachers, Parents and Pupils Unite Against FF/Green Cuts

Last week teachers, parents, pupils and concerned citizens took to the Leinster House to protest against education cutbacks. Organised byt the teachers unions they came in their numbers roughly 15,000 despite wind, rain and FF/Green intransigence.

The crowd were loud, energetic and determined to real back the cuts which will see every school in the state lose out and will damage the education of every young person in the 26 counties.

The crowd were addressed by union leaders, politicians and SF's Education spokesperson Pearse Doherty who outlined the republican view of education as a right which is essential in building a strong economy and an equal society.

The INTO are holding similiar protests across the state over the coming weeks.

Visit www.into.ie for more details and get out on the streets and show the Greens and Fianna Fáil that we will not except attacks on the most vulnerable to pay for their ineptness as a government!
