Derry Ógra Shinn Féin to step up their campaign over the bloodshed in Gaza

Derry Ógra Shinn Féin are set to step up their campaign to highlight the Israeli attacks on the people of Gaza and the carnage being carried out there. The latest death toll being upwards of 500 people and 3000 injured (Sunday 4th)

They have also called on people in Derry and elsewhere to boycott Israeli goods on sale in local shops and supermarkets .The call comes after a rally in the city centre on Saturday afternoon to coincide with protests and days of action taking place right across the world

Speaking following Saturday’s protest in Guildhall Square - Derry Ógra Shinn Féin spokesperson on International Affairs Adrian Óg Kelly said,

“Saturdays protests saw people take to the streets not only in Derry but in Dublin, Paris, London and many cities across the world to stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza and in memory of the hundreds of Palestinians who have been slaughtered as a result of Israeli attacks on Gaza in the past week.

In Derry and elsewhere many people have asked what they can do to help to be part of this campaign .We would urge them to boycott Israeli goods on sale in local shops and supermarkets. If enough people do this all our efforts collectively will send a clear message to the Israeli government that the daily carnage and bloodshed taking place in Gaza has to stop. The latest death toll being upwards of 500 people and 3000 injured. (Sunday 4th)

We are asking the people of Derry and the rest of Ireland to stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine and let their voices be heard. Ógra Shinn Féin plan to hold more peaceful protests and demonstrations against Israeli attacks on Gaza in the coming weeks and we would urge people to join with us.”
