CIT's Niamh Kerins and Joe Lynch were assisted by Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire and David Collins of the UCC Martin Hurson Cumann in collecting a large number of signatures from prospective members and generating quite an interest among the student population.

Likewise, in UCC the Martin Hurson cumann looks forward to a succesful year promising societies day. Cathaoirleach Seán Ó Sé had this to say

'The cumann recieved among the highest number of signatures of any political society on campus. We aim to be the most active group in UCC this year and follow on from our hard work last year. We have already had a number of meetings and attended a philsoph debate on lisbon featuring Toireasa Ferris, and hopefully we can push on from this positive start to the year.'
