Drogheda Gets The Message 'Moilligh Sios'

Last Friday evening Drogheda Ogra Shinn Fein organised a vigil for the current National Road Safety Campaign 'Moilligh Sios.'

The vigil was intended to raise the issue amongst the hundreds of passing motorists.

Speaking on the vigil, local activist Alan Cassidy said,

"We have raised awareness of the campaign and issue of Road Safety with hundreds of people from and passing through Drogheda. In the months ahead we intend to engage with as many young people as possible on this important issue which takes so many young lives and devastates communities."

"Especially coming up to the christmas period as well as urging drivers to slow down, we will also be highlighting the dangers associated with driving while intoxicated."

"Drogheda certainly got the message last Friday, 'Moilligh Sios!'
