Loughgall Martyrs Remembered at Queens University

Ógra Shinn Féin QUB today took part in a series of nationwide events to remember the massacre of The Loughgall Martyrs. The Cumann staged a commeration at the main gates of Queens University handing out leaflets to the public highlighting the issue of collusion and the British policy of ‘shoot to kill’.

Speaking on the event spokesman Eunan Carlin said,

“The 8 volunteers at Loughgall paid the ultimate sacrifice and this was just one of a number of events we hope to hold over the next year to remember them and the victims of state violence. We received a very good reception from the public today, with a lot if interest and support shown. It was great to see republicanism alive and well around the University.”
