With Labour Youth voting at its weekend debate in Dublin to back the Lisbon Treaty, and with the Young Greens firmly sitting on the fence (mind those natural wood splinters, boys and girls), this leaves Ógra Shinn Féin as the only youth wing standing against the 'super state' treaty.
So much for Labour and Green radicalism.

This is a great opportunity for Ógra to seize the initiative, make a meaningful impact and grow. KM
In fairness, the SP and SWP will be mobilising on against the Lisbon Treaty too over the current months, so this shows it is even more imperative for Ogra members to go out and prioritise campaigning on the Lisbon Treaty above all other campaigns until the referendum takes place in the early summer. There are areas in fact, where Ogra could be leading the campaign.
It was great to see so many OSF folk at the activist day last saturday - this now a real opportunity for Ogra to show that they are the real face of radical politics in Ireland!
In my honest opinion, the Sp and Swimmers aka the 'Splitters' don't count and are counter productive for any campaign. Ógra lead the way.
