Ógra Shinn Féin erect mural to Coalisland/Clonoe patriot dead

On Sunday the 18th of April, the Ógra Shinn Féin Coney/Kilpatrick cumann erected a new mural listing the names of the fallen volunteers from the Coalisland/Clonoe area.

The mural, which is situated in the Coalisland square, was unveiled by the cumann and local Sinn Féin MLA and Councillor Michelle O'Neill.

Speaking on the unveiling, Ógra activist Padraig Quinn had this to say:

“I would like to commend the hard work carried out by the cumann and all those who aided in the production of this mural. The time and effort put into the making of it is evident and we feel the result only enhances the area. As republicans and as young people it is important to remember the sacrifices that have advanced our struggle to where it is today.”

“This mural is one of many initiatives planned by our cumann, and hopefully it will strengthen and popularise republicanism throughout our area, particularly with the younger people.”
